Chicken Parmesan

Quick and easy meal to assemble

Ingredients
  

  • 5 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 can pasta sauce 680 ml no name Simple Check Pasta Sauce
  • 3/4 lb pasta no name Simple Check Penne or Spaghetti
  • 1 tsp olive oil extra-virgin
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 4 tbsp parmesan cheese

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375 F.
    Place chicken breasts in a 9x13 glass pan. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese. Pour pasta sauce evenly over top.
  2. Cover dish with aluminum foil and place in preheated oven. Set the timer for 35 minutes.
  3. When the timer goes, leave chicken in the oven and set the timer again for 20 minutes. Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil. Add pasta to the boiling water and cook following the package directions.
  4. When pasta is cooked, rinse it in a colander and return to pot. Add olive oil and oregano and toss.
  5. Remove chicken from oven and sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan cheese over top. Return to oven (without the aluminum foil) and bake for 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
  6. Serve chicken on on top of pasta or on the side.
