Lunenburg Doc Fest: Seniors Workshop

In this time of social isolation, why not learn a new skill?

This year, Lunenburg Doc Fest‘s Seniors Workshop is 100% online. It’s a fun and FREE way to get creative from the comfort of your home — all you need is an internet connection!

The 2020 program—for adults ages 55+—will focus on the changes we all face as we age, and participants will take part in choosing and telling those stories along with their fellow participants and the guidance of professional mentors.

Trivia Tuesdays 4 Kids! – All About NS Species At Risk, Hosted by Nova Scotia Young Naturalists Club and Coastal Action

Join us on Tuesday mornings at 10am to listen to a quick live-stream presentation on local Species At Risk from amazing conservation professionals around Nova Scotia and then play a game of family-friendly TRIVIA! Use your Kahoot account to play along OR email your trivia answers in to yncns@yncns.ca and if you get at least 8/10 correct, we’ll enter you into a draw for our weekly SAR-themed prize!

Presentations and trivia will be targeted towards youth 7-12 years old but ALL ARE WELCOME! Get the whole family involved and improve your odds of winning!

Salt Shaker Deli

Another local hot spot, the Salt Shaker Deli, have also re-opened for take-out! Phone your order in from 10-3 Wednesday-Sunday, pay credit card over the phone or tap on site and pick up is between 4-8pm at 10 minute intervals.

When you treat yourself to dinner at the Salt Shaker Deli this month, you’ll also be helping support a local cause! We’re happy to share that 5% of all sales from the month of May are being donated to the Second Story Women’s Centre in Lunenburg.
