Sunday Morning Coffee

Sunday morning I usually grab a coffee and take time to catch-up on some stories I may not have had time to read throughout the week.  I thought you might enjoy them with your Sunday morning coffee as well.

Pandemic brings increased interest in Bridgewater community

We’ve been following along with Treehouse Village, the co-housing community coming to Bridgewater, and it’s really interesting to see how the pandemic makes this sort of housing/living arrangement even more appealing.

“Cohousing is designed from the get-go to make certain things easier, so when a crisis or pandemic happens for instance, there are already systems in place to support the community in being more resilient,” says de Vreede.

Child’s backyard flower business earns thousands for Ronald McDonald House

On Thanksgiving weekend, we thought you would enjoy this story of giving back.

“I think in this time when people have so many things to deal with, that sense of comfort that we have, of a family and a community that is here for us while we’re trying to do something for other families that need help, it’s just a really good feeling.”

62 Lawrence Street, Lunenburg

Imagine waking up this fall and lighting the wood stove in the kitchen. You warm up beside it with a cup of coffee, throw your vest and scarf on, grab your basket and head down to the Lunenburg Farmers Market to grab breakfast and your provisions for the week.

On your way home stop into the library at the Lunenburg Academy and browse the shelves, picking up a new mystery for the weekend. Then in the afternoon, putter around the garden and begin storing your tools and pots away in the garden shed, before inviting the neighbours over for a cup of tea.

I LOVE this house and its potential! Sweet spot with a sweet price too. 🙂

This sweet, little house on Lawrence Street sits a few doors down from the Lunenburg Academy, an easy stroll to downtown and the Lunenburg Harbour Front. The fenced back yard is south facing with a garden shed which is hooked up to power. The main level has a good sized kitchen with wood stove, living room and bathroom. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms and a landing space with glimpses of back harbour.

This property is listed with Helen Ross of Keller Williams Select Realty.

Thank you for spending part of your Sunday with us.  Have a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend and enjoy the day!
