Sunday Morning Coffee

Sunday morning I usually grab a coffee and take time to catch-up on some stories I may not have had time to read throughout the week.  I thought you might enjoy them with your Sunday morning coffee as well.

SAVING ABANDONED N.S.: Middle LaHave house bursting with discoveries

This is such a fascinating story highlighting the restoration of an 1860s-era house, on the LaHave River that hadn’t been lived in since 1969. Would love to see an update when the house is complete. What a journey!

Picnic planned at N.S. beach where family was threatened by teens swinging noose

Proud of Peter Fisk and Lauryn Guest for organizing a Black Lives Matter picnic at a Chester Basin beach for Sunday (today!)

“We want BIPOC [Black, Indigenous and people of colour] folks to be able to go wherever they’d like to, and be able to feel comfortable in spaces here and really reclaim the space,” Guest told CBC’s Information Morning on Thursday.
