Sunday Morning Coffee

Sunday morning I usually grab a coffee and take time to catch-up on some stories I may not have had time to read throughout the week.  I thought you might enjoy them with your Sunday morning coffee as well.

Peace by Chocolate pledges to hire 50 refugees, mentor 10 refugee startups

The incredible story of Peace by Chocolate continues. Having them mentor other refugee startups is huge and will make such a difference for these new Canadians. I love this so much.

Affairs of the heart

If you are a woman….please read this article. The details and symptoms of women experiencing heart problems are important to know and understand.

“We are really, really trying to just put the word out that women have heart attacks. We present differently. We are so more likely to be sent home from [a hospital emergency department] and it’s either usually saying it’s anxiety or something else,” says the heart attack survivor.

There is a Wear Red Canada event, part of a national campaign organized by the Canadian Women’s Heart Health Centre, in Bridgewater,  March 8 from 4 p.m. to 6 pm at the Atlantic Superstore. It is designed to raise awareness of women’s heart health.

Thanks to Nichole Nickerson for sharing her story, to educate and teach others, the importance of women heart health.
