March Break on the South Shore

March began yesterday and I am still a little bit in shock. February…even for a short month…felt like it went by in a blink.  Now, we’ve got two back to back snow storms starting this month off,  so March may feel like a wee bit longer. 😉  If you’re a parent with school-aged kids, this time of year also means March Break and a full slate of free days. Good news…there is lots to do to enjoy March Break on the South Shore!

Here in Nova Scotia we never know what the weather will be like mid-March, so you might be looking to make some plans to keep the kids busy and having fun. If you’re home with the kids, working or maybe asking the grandparents to help out, here’s a few ideas for you.

*Check back as more events will be added as places finalize their programs.

South Shore Public Libraries

We are so fortunate to have the South Shore Public Libraries,  be the welcoming community spaces they are.  All year-long they offer different classes and programs. Once again they have put together some pretty amazing programming during March Break at all three of their locations on the South Shore. Think I can sneak into the Knitting for Beginners Class? 😉

White Point Beach Resort

Well, if there’s anyone who knows how to do March Break up right…it’s White Point Beach Resort. While the pool, beach and bunnies might be enough for some, there are “family feature events” each day as well.  They’ve got 10 fun-filled days ready to roll, perfect for families of all shapes, sizes and interests.

March Break on the South Shore

From daily bonfires, marshmallow roasts, dips in the pool, storytime, live entertainment and face painting, and their daily afternoon ‘family feature event’, I’m quite sure you won’t be hearing “I’m bored…” while spending your March Break at White Point Beach. 😉

More information on March Break events at White Point are available here.
