Let’s Meet for Coffee- Main and Mersey, Liverpool

After a crazy week, Friday afternoon sometimes call for a coffee with a girlfriend, and I knew just where I wanted to go, Main and Mersey in Liverpool.

The pull of the ocean and the quality of life here in the Maritimes, brought owners, Shani and Andreas from London, UK, to settle here and set up shop on Main Street in Liverpool in November of 2017. Main and Mersey is home decor shop, which also features their own étoile home collection (see below) of cushions, fabrics, table linens and toiletry bags. They have a well curated collection of lovely items from Canada and around the world.

Adding to their home store, earlier this month they officially opened up a coffee bar located off the back of the shop. There is a separate entrance, along the side and to the back, or you can just wander in after checking out the shop. It’s a sweet and simple addition that makes you feel right at home.

Lots of delicious offerings! Americano’s, cappuccino’s, latte’s, tea’s. juices, kombucha and more.

Karen had already split our cookie and was eating it before I could take a picture…LOL!

My Americano was perfect. They use Anchored Coffee roasted in Dartmouth for their espresso based and filter coffees and also have  fresh Ploughmans Lunch pastries and treats.

What a perfect addition to Liverpool’s Main Street! They also have a lovely back deck they are working on, that will have some seating, plants, etc.

It’s a perfect time of year to go for a walk through Pine Grove Park and check out the rhododendrons, stop at Main and Mersey and grab a coffee and a treat, then swing by Five Girls Bakery for some delicious homemade bread and specialty items for your dinner. Sounds like a lovely day to me. 🙂

Have you been to Main and Mersey in Liverpool? Checked out their coffee bar? Leave a comment and let us know.

Fantastic shop I got my new dishes there and fantastic people who own it and run it. I did get in for a latte which was delicious. Cups and lids are compostable wahoo for that !
