Sunday Morning Coffee

Sunday morning I usually grab a coffee and take time to catch-up on some stories I may not have had time to read throughout the week.  I thought you might enjoy them with your Sunday morning coffee as well.

How a community garden in Mahone Bay is tackling big issues like food security and climate change

The owners of the Biscuit Eater Cafe and Bookstore in Mahone Bay have a vision for their community garden that’s being built right at the cafe. It’s about bringing people together and making healthy food available to everyone. I can’t wait to follow along and see how this project turns out. Wonderful initiative!

NOW Lunenburg County Preparing For Medical Students Visit

Sunday Morning Coffee

The shortage of doctors in this area is an ongoing issue, and Now Lunenburg County has been focused on improving that for some time. While medical students are here for a work placement, Now Lunenburg County is making sure they feel welcome and showing them what life here is like.

It’s a terrific idea and hopefully one that has some of these students making this their home.
