what's happening on the South Shore this weekend

Two local groups unite. Personal Dignity and Worth Through Productive Living is what Bonny Lea Farm (“Bonny Lea”) offers, and has offered, to many adults living with intellectual disabilities for over 45 years. The Starfish Projects including Starfish Reunites (“Starfish”) are younger but they too offer families the opportunity to regain a sense of hope and dignity, lost with their homes and livelihoods in war torn Syria. By helping them to come to live in Canada they can regain a feeling of safety and personal worth through productive living here as a part of our community. Both of these initiatives require long term dedication and assistance from Starfish and Bonny Lea to those who they support and that is what this event is all about – our community reaching out to lift up and extend friendship and hope to those in need.
