Sweet Ride Cycling hosts Beginner Fat Bike Rides Saturday mornings. These weekly sessions will run from 9am to 10:30am departing from the public parking lot behind Kinburn Pharmasave in Mahone Bay, and focus on the joy of fat biking from the perspective of a beginner. Go for a stroll through Bridgewater’s “Magical Gnome Trail” in Glen Allan Park or along “Jordan River Holiday Trail” in Shelburne

The team of MLA Mark Furey and Shelburne Recreation Department have been busy decorating trails in Bridgewater and Shelburne. Head to Glen Allan Park and see how many gnomes you can find on the Magical Gnome Walk. In the Shelburne area, the Jordan River Holiday Trail has been decorated for the holidays, including lights, so a visit in the evening can be in your plans (bring a flashlight for extra safety)

Check out the Mahone Bay Sewer Bowl

The Mahone Bay Sewer Bowl is back this year, taking place on January 1st. Watch The Flushers vs. The Plungers play a fun, fundraising game of soccer on the Mahone Bay Centre Field (MBC). Cheerleaders, a Bagpiper, the Lobster Pot Band and even a Miniature Horse will be on the sidelines to entertain! All funds raised will be donated to the MBC in support of their Youth Sport Programs and the purchase of new and needed equipment. All Provincial guidelines relating to Covid-19 will be strictly enforced. Masks, temperature checks, and social distancing will be in place. 

Drive Around and Look At Christmas Lights

People seem to have gone all out this year with regard to their lights and outdoor displays. Grab some cozy blankets and travel mugs filled with hot chocolate, put on some Kenny and Dolly and take a drive to check out this years Christmas lights!
