Sunday Morning Coffee

Sunday morning I usually grab a coffee and take time to catch-up on some stories I may not have had time to read throughout the week.  I thought you might enjoy them with your Sunday morning coffee as well.

Fire-damaged Chester Playhouse expected to reopen in spring 2023

Some good news for the arts community, as the Chester Playhouse announces their reopening plan, following a devastating fire.

When the theatre eventually reopens, Chandler said it shouldn’t be noticeably different from the outside. The inside will feature upgrades that were part of the original refurbishment plan.

“It won’t be quite the same playhouse, but we’re seizing the opportunity with this extensive rebuild to improve on things that we couldn’t in the initial project and make it a safer, more accessible, better functional space so we can last for the next 80 years,” said Chandler.

Big Ex returning after two years of pandemic restrictions

I’ve heard a lot of people asking and wondering about this, and it appears that after two years, the Big Ex is making a come back.

In a Facebook post, the Board of Directors of the South Shore Exhibition said the fair would return from July 26 to July 31.

On their Facebook page, they also posted this photo, as a sneak peek of things to come. We predict lots of excitement for the return of one of summers most popular events.
