Sunday Morning Coffee

Sunday morning I usually grab a coffee and take time to catch-up on some stories I may not have had time to read throughout the week.  I thought you might enjoy them with your Sunday morning coffee as well.

2018 FAVORITES

Thanks to the power of Instagram and CBC naming him one of “One of Canada’s Most Inspiring Photographers”, I have been a fan of Brady McCloskey. Then we went to PEI this summer, and my love of his photography…and the island…just grew. He publishes a blog post with some of his favourite photos,  from over 200 shoots,  from the past year. I laughed out loud..and was moved to tears…several times.

I thought these beautiful photos were just what the last weekend in January needed. You’re welcome. 😉

How a Parks Canada employee uses his camera to connect people with nature

OK…so we have a bit of photography theme this weekend. I didn’t think you would mind. 😉

I love this story. How lucky that the superintendent of Cape Breton Highlands National Park, is good with a camera!

These days, he fits in photo shoots among his full-time duties as park superintendent. He’s become the island’s go-to guide on the hidden wonders of the park. Bonus: Another amazing account to follow Instagram!

He’s learned to appreciate what each day photographing the natural world brings — even when the weather isn’t co-operating

132 Harold Road, Martins Point

OK…let’s just do a little dreaming shall we? Log home…on the water…(500 ft of direct ocean frontage to be exact)…panoramic views of Mahone Bay…private road…wrap around deck…and a front view of Oak Island…and all the treasure (who knows…maybe YOU’LL find it!) 😉

I’m fascinated by this place and can imagine a ton of possibilities for it. Do me a favour? Don’t mention it to my husband if you see him. He loves log homes and REALLY loves The Curse of Oak Island show. Oh my.
