A festive and fun holiday appetizer
Ingredients
  • 2 8 oz. blocks of cream cheese
  • 1 packet of dry ranch mix
  • 2 cups shredded white cheddar (or your choice of white cheeses)
  • 9-10 whole Peppercorns
  • 1 baby carrot
  • Crackers (variety)
  • Ribbon or something for the scarf
Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, ranch seasoning, and 1 cup of finely shredded aged white cheddar (or a white cheese of your choice).
  2. Lay out two pieces of plastic wrap.
  3. Divide the cheese mixture into two slightly uneven portions- the first should be about 1.5 cups and the second about 1 cup, the larger one will be the bottom of the snowman.
  4. Wrap up the balls and round them a bit with your hands, no need to be perfect as the shredded cheese you roll them in will hide flaws.
  5. Refrigerate at least 2 hours.
  6. Once chilled, roll the two pieces in the remaining shredded cheese.
  7. Use your fingers to pat the cheese on so it sticks well.
  8. Assemble your snowman with the largest ball on the bottom and the smaller for the head.
  9. Then decorate using a carrot for the nose and peppercorns for the eyes and smile and buttons.
  10. Serve chilled with a variety of crackers.
