Graduation 2020 Events on the South Shore

It should be a time of caps & gowns, valedictorian speeches and crossing the stage for 2020 high school graduates. Celebrations in the gym or auditorium with your friends and family, looking forward to summer on the South Shore before some big moves in the fall. This year though, thanks to COVID-19, these celebrations are taking on a new look. South Shore high schools are coming up with inventive ways to honour their grads, celebrations that will, in some ways, be even more memorable. Let’s take a look at Graduation 2020 Events on the South Shore. 🎓

Park View Education Centre

Park View Education Centre will be recognizing the efforts of their graduating students in a way that respects public health protocols on June 24th, 2020 at Park View Education Centre. Their school staff is now working through the details of how we can appropriately celebrate, recognize and honour our graduates of 2020.

We are working to put together an event that contains some of the following elements:

– student and guests (4) to receive their diploma at the school (by appointment, of course)

– a photographer will be at the school to take a picture of the student and guests in their grad outfit,

– a Grad package from the school for each student

We will be in touch with each graduate and their family when additional plans are finalized for the event.

Our priority is making sure that the recognition event takes place in a manner that respects student and family health and safety by following appropriate COVID-19 public health principles.

Sincerely,

Gordon Walters

Graduation 2020 Events on the South Shore

In past years we have shared special events like Parkview and New Germany High School proms, and while we will miss seeing the smiles and feeling the excitement and energy that is innate in South Shore youth, we love seeing the schools find a way to have individual graduation ceremonies and community events to recognize the hard work and to mark this milestone for the graduating class of 2020. Congratulations to all of our South Shore graduates, we just know you are going to go on and do amazing things!
