With the deadline passing for nominations for the upcoming Municipal Election, Carolyn Bolivar Getson has a challenger when it comes to the Mayor’s seat. Caleb Wheeldon, a newcomer to municipal politics, has made it a race, where he will face off against the current Mayor of the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg.
Carolyn Bolivar Getson previously served as MLA for Lunenburg West from 2003-2009, won her first council seat council seat in the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg in 2012, and ran and was elected Mayor in 2016.
Besides the Mayoral race, here are your candidates also running, with District 1, Leitha Haysom, District 5, incumbent Cathy Moore, and District 8, Kacy DeLong all being acclaimed.

David Mitchell has already been acclaimed as the Mayor for the Town of Bridgewater, where he will begin his second term as Mayor.
Voting for the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg will be by phone and internet only and will begin 8:00 am October 8 through to 7:00 pm on October 17.
