Here we are folks, it’s March and we are heading into March Break! It looks to be a lovely weekend to get out and about and spend time with your bubble. Mar 12 – Mieke Martin Retrospective at Chester Art Centre (Chester)
Chester Art Centre is inviting you to celebrate the work of renowned ceramics artist Mieke Martin. After 40 years creating wonderful pieces, Mieke Martin is retiring and the Chester Art Centre is hosting a Retrospective this weekend. Stop in and see her work and share your warm wishes!
Mar 12 – Public Skating at LCLC (Brigewater)
Skate your way into the weekend at the LCLC in Bridgewater. Public Skates happen throughout the weekend, $4 for Adults, $3 Youth, Family ($ people) $10. Check the schedule above, grab your bubble people, skates and head to the rink!
Mar 12 – Shawn Hebb live at Bayport Pub (Riverport)
Bayport Pub welcomes back fan favourite Shawn Hebb this Friday, 7-9pm. Shawn is back for a night of great music, the food is pretty good too :-). Call to reserve (902) 764 – 2404 and start your weekend off right!

Mar 13 – Stickfest at Barrington Curling Club (Barrington)
Barrington Curling Club is hosting Stickfest, a stick curling funspiel, this Saturday afternoon between 1-5pm. Stick curling rules. Prizes for top three teams. No experience necessary! Mar 13 – Trivia in the Taproom at Boxing Rock (Shelburne)
Boxing Rock Brewing Co. invites you to Trivia Night in the Taproom. Grab you bubble buddies and head over at 7pm for three rounds of 20 questions! Can’t make it in person, keep an eye on this event and join them via Zoom!
Mar 13 – Shannon & Tony Quinn live at Lunenburg Opera House (Lunenburg)
A part of the Lunenburg Folk Society’s Folk Fiesta, Shannon & Tony Quinn take the stage at the Lunenburg Opera House this Saturday. Tickets are $15, available online at TicketPro or call the office 902-634-3180. Seating is limited and only 75 tickets will be sold due to COVID spacing. Mar 13 – The Nice Guys live at King Street Beer Co. (Bridgewater)

Mar 14 – Barrington Car Rally/Scavenger Hunt (Barrington)
Nova Scotia Marathon and Mile East Productions presents a fabulous social distancing community event just in time for March Break!
The Barrington Scavenger Hunt is a car based rally that will have you scouring the area for clues made of local lore, fact and more! This is perfect for the entire family or for your bubble of friends to participate in. Please see full event for all the details and registration information.
Mar 14 – Mid-Winter Concert Series at Lunenburg Academy of Music Performance (Lunenburg)
Lunenburg Academy of Music Performance is thrilled to once again be able to offer limited-capacity live concerts featuring our extraordinary emerging artists and an occasional special guest! This Sundays Mid-winter Concert features “Piano ‘Fantasie’ with Ian Tomaz; works by Brahms and Schumann.” Admission is by donation, however attendees must reserve in advance to allow for COVID and safety protocols to be met. To reserve, simply call the LAMP office at 902-634-8667.
Mar 14 – Pop-Up F.U.N Ukulele Jam “Rock’n’Blues” at King Street Beer Co. (Bridgewater)
The F.U.N.Ukulele Jam team is inviting you to come out for a Sunday afternoon Pop-Up JAM Session upstairs at the King Street Beer Company this Sunday at 2pm. Happening in the comfortable room overlooking the Lahave River and downtown Bridgewater this is the perfect spot for an acoustic jam. They are counting on ukulele musicians to take the “stage” for some tunes, so come on out!
Mar 14 – Barrington Recreation’s “Into the Beyond” Family Adventure (Barrington)
Barrington Recreation Department is ready to go “Into the Beyond” and you are invited to join them at the Club House Playground in Woods Harbour on Sunday at 3pm to launch March Break into space! We will play some games and activities for kids and even the big kids will want to take part! Find moon rocks, ring Saturn and land on your favourite planets. The event will be approximately an hour long and is great for all ages. Stay and take a jungle safari on the trail after for an extra adventure! Rain date: March 21st. Please register in advance.
Mar 14 – Public Skates at the Lunenburg Arena (Lunenburg)
Grab you bubble people and your skates and head to Lunenburg Arena for some skating. Why not fuel up at a local restaurant beforehand, make a night of it.
