Municipal councillors to be guaranteed up to 1 year parental leave
This is such good news! So many elected positions, especially at the municipal level are just not conducive to working people, let alone, a female who may be expecting. We need to make these positions accessible for all if we are ever to have fair representation. Kudos to Kings County deputy mayor Emily Lutz, who got this moving forward.
Students plan International Culinary Celebration
I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek last month, of some of the delicious offerings at this years International Culinary Celebration held at NSCC Lunenburg Campus. It’s a wonderful opportunity to try some amazing food prepared by the culinary students, in support of their program and the Health Services Foundation.
