Julien’s Bakery to close after more than 30 years in Nova Scotia

Some bittersweet news this week as Julien’s Bakery announced they will be closing after more than 30 years. While we will miss their breads and treats, owners Didier Julien and Laura Mulrooney have earned a well deserved rest and retirement. Their time spent serving the community has left a legacy that will live on, even after Julien’s closes. Thank you Didier and Laura for everything.

GROUNDHOG DAY LOBSTER: Lucy the Lobster predicts six more weeks of winter during 2022 appearance

Lucy the Lobster has predicted 6 more weeks of winter, but more importantly, 6 more weeks of lobster! February marks the 4th annual Lobster Crawl event which features everything from lobster rolls and specials at local eateries, to markets, skating parties and scavenger hunts.
