Sunday Morning Coffee

Sunday morning I usually grab a coffee and take time to catch-up on some stories I may not have had time to read throughout the week.  I thought you might enjoy them with your Sunday morning coffee as well.

One person dies, another lives

This week Nova Scotia became the first jurisdiction in North America to presume adults are willing to donate their organs when they die. What an incredible step that will impact so many people. Not to mention, those around the world who are watching.

Students test Mersey River for bacteria with shocking results

A group of Grade 7 students at South Queens Middle School students, were working on a social studies project, which involved testing the bacteria levels in the Mersey River. They then presented their results to the Region of Queens Municipality council meeting last month.

Incredible lessons being learned here, not only about the water that they swim and fish in, but also about government and advocacy. Good work!
