It’s one of our favourite times of year, when the South Shore Farmers Markets start to open! That time of year when fresh, local produce, bread, honey, preserves and more start making their way to our kitchens and we couldn’t be more excited. After successfully navigating the ever changing restrictions of last year, our markets are ready to safely welcome you all once again. Lunenburg Farmers’ Market – Open Year Round

Lunenburg Community Centre – Thursdays 8:30am – 12:00pm

The Lunenburg Farmers’ Market is your year round farmers market on the South Shore. It has easily become a weekly shopping spot for many. Offering a modified inside market Thursday mornings from 8:30am – 12pm at the Lunenburg Community Center, they also offer Online Ordering with pickup happening Thursdays between 11am – 3 pm. Chester Farmers’ & Artisans Market – Opens May 28th

Municipal Heritage Society Station – Fridays 9am-12:30pm

The Chester Farmers’ & Artisans Market opens May 28th and runs every Friday morning between 9am-12:30pm until October 8th, Rain or Shine. Located at the Chester Municipal Heritage Society Station, 20 local vendors bringing seasonal produce, meats, eggs, fish, bread, treats, honey, crafts, jams, fresh seafood, handcrafts, woolen and wooden items, jewelry, and much more! New Germany Farm Market – Opens June 4th

Anglican Community Hall – Fridays 3-6pm

The New Germany Farm Market is set to open June 4th for the 2021 season. Happening Fridays from 2-6pm, the market is located outside the Anglican Community Hall (inside if weather is poor), and you will find over 15 different vendors with local produce, baked goods, handicrafts and more. Barrington Farmers’ Market – Opens June 5th

Barrington Recreation Center – Every Other Saturday 9am-12pm

The dates for the Barrington Farmers’ Market are booked. They will be set up every other Saturday from 9am-12pm, starting June 5th in the parking lot of the Barrington Recreation Center. Find them inside or under tent in the event of poor weather. It’s going to be a great summer with many vendors bringing their very best for you and your family to enjoy. Whatever provincial COVID Protocols are in place at the time will be what is required at the market.

Bridgewater Farmers’ Market – Opens May 29th

123 Empire Street (Old Arena) – Saturdays 9am-12pm

The Bridgewater Farmers’ Market is opening May 29th. The outdoor market, located at the old Bridgewater Arena (123 Empire Street) will be open Saturdays (rain or shine) between 9am-12pm. Hubbards Farmers’ Market – Opens May 22nd

Hubbards Barn & Community Park – Saturdays 8am-12pm

Celebrating 25 years, the Hubbards Farmers’ Market is set to open the 2021 season on May 8th. Happening weekly on Saturdays from 8am-12pm at the Hubbards Barn & Community Park, vendors are located both inside and outside, and offer fresh local produce, meats, breads, flowers, handicrafts and much more. Privateer Farmers’ Market – Opens May 24th

Privateer Park (Liverpool VIC) – Saturdays 9am-1pm

Come visit Liverpool’s Privateer Farmers’ Market every Saturday from the long weekend in May until Thanksgiving weekend from 9am-1pm outside the Visitors Information Centre in Centennial Park. The market features local, fresh produce, pastured meat, honey, natural soap, divine French breads and treats, Quest coffee, and an impressive rotation of local artisans! West Dublin Market – Opens May 1st

West Dublin Hall – Saturdays 9am – 12pm

The West Dublin Market/The Hub in the Dub, plans to be open every Saturday 9am-12pm this season starting May 1st. Located at West Dublin Hall, you’ll find locally sourced and produced goods, a local-ingredients-themed $12-$15 brunch, coffee, a crafts table for the kids, and other special events throughout the season. Vendors bring their fresh seasonal produce, artisanal breads and treats from the Ploughman’s Lunch, handmade soaps and more! This is the greatest time of the year to visit your local farmers market. The tables are just exploding with local produce, baked goods, flowers and more.
