Pumpkin Bread Recipe

Serves: 1 loaf
 
Ingredients
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • ½ tsp ginger
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
  1. Cream butter and sugar together in a bowl or mixer
  2. Beat in eggs one at a time until smooth
  3. Stir in pumpkin
  4. In another bowl combine remaining ingredients
  5. Stir to mix then add to other bowl
  6. Stir all together just until moistened
  7. Spoon into greased 9x13 inch loaf pan
  8. Bake at 350 F for 1 hour of until the centre is cooked through
  9. Cool in pan for 10 minutes
  10. Turn loaf out onto a wire rack to cool
