Ham and Pea Pasta
- 1 box of Barilla Farfalle (bow tie) pasta
- salt
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1½ cups diced ham
- 1½ cup frozen peas
- ½ cup whipping cream
- 1 cup of pasta water reserved from cooking the pasta
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- salt and pepper
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil
- Add salt and pasta to the pot
- Cook until it is al dente, or still just a tiny bit firm
- Drain the pasta, saving 1 cup of the liquid
- While the pasta is cooking, melt the butter in a large saucepan on the stove
- Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes
- Stir in the ham and frozen peas
- Stir in 1 cup of the reserved pasta water, cream, Parmesan cheese and salt and pepper
- When the pasta is ready, toss with the sauce and serve
