Sweet and Sour Meatballs A family favorite served with rice and peas (or your favorite vegetable) A great make ahead meal to have in the freezer.
Ingredients
Sweet and Sour Meatballs
  • 1½ lbs ground beef
  • ½ cup bread crumbs
  • ½ cup water or milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • ½ cup vinegar
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp ketchup
Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl mix together the beef, bread crumbs, water or milk and salt and pepper.
  2. Shape in to balls and brown in a frying pan or hot oven.
  3. Transfer to a casserole dish.
  4. In a medium size saucepan, stir together the brown sugar and flour.
  5. Add vinegar, water, soy sauce and ketchup.
  6. Whisk together and then stir over medium-high heat.
  7. Heat until boiling.
  8. Pour over meatballs.
  9. Cover.-heat in a 350F oven for 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
