Slow Cooker Beef Stew

Serves: 4-6
- 2 lbs stewing beef cubes
- 4 potatoes peeled and cut in cubes
- 4 carrots cut into chunks
- 2 onions,chopped
- 2-3 cloves of garlic,minced
- 1½ cups beef stock
- 1- 5 oz can tomato paste
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup frozen peas
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
- 2 tbsp flour
- Trim and cut beef into 1 inch cubes
- In slow cooker mix together beef, potatoes, carrots, onions, garlic, beef stock, tomato paste, bay leaf and Worcestershire sauce
- Cover and cook on low 10-12 hours or on high 5-6 or until vegetables are tender
- Add peas, salt and pepper
- Increase heat to high
- Whisk flour with 2 tbsp water, stir into stew
- Cook covered for 5 minutes or until thickened
- Discard bay leaf
