Top Recipe Posts from 2017 and a Free Meal Planning Challenge

I love this week…the time between Christmas and New Years when I’m never sure what day it is….PJ’s are considered appropriate day wear…and there are endless treats and coffee. Seriously…it’s the best!  I’m only partly serious….sometimes I get dressed and DO things!  I have a post of the Top 10 Things To Do the Last Week of the Year, which has been pretty popular. Another list I always gravitate to are Top Recipe Posts….so I thought why not have a look back at 2017 and see what recipes people really liked and responded too. Fun!

Chickpea and Black Bean Summer Salad

This is one of my favorite summer salads. It keeps for days….and in fact…it tastes even better after a day or two.  Pantry items and a quick trip to the local market or grocery store and you’re all set. Perfect for lunches, barbecues or any family gathering. This time of year we should be thinking about good hearty salads…and Chickpea and Black Bean Salad is definitely one.

I published it almost a year ago and its been looked at many times daily…ever since.  It is seriously one of our family favorites…and perfect for this time of year. Comfort food…mmmm.

Meal Plan Monday-Freezer Meals

OK…this technically isn’t a recipe…but it is a recipe-type post….that was VERY popular this year. It also marked the beginning of my Facebook Live journey…when I went “Live” in my kitchen…sweating after spending 2 hours cooking…thinking I would have everything ALL READY to show you…LOL! Oh my…I still laugh about it.

I had such a great response to the post…and the video…and it really changed everything for me and the blog this past year.  Honorable mention on my Top Recipe Posts to this Freezer Meal post….and you may also like the How to Organize a Freezer Meal Cook Day post. 🙂
