Sunday Morning Coffee

Sunday mornings I usually grab a coffee and take time to catch-up on some stories I may not have had time to read throughout the week…I thought you might enjoy seeing them also.

OK…why doesn’t this surprise me? 😉 It only makes sense that a team of female reindeer would be responsible for ensuring everything gets done on such a big night. Thank you “science” for making it official…I mean… Prancer…Dancer…it was pretty clear wasn’t it? Go get em girls…you got this!  😉

I recently took a tag off a “giving tree”  to assist a 12-year-old girl in our community with specific wants and needs. I choose it specifically so my daughter…who is 14… could go with me and help pick out the items. It was time to think about others and give back. For kids, the holiday season can quickly and easily become focused on the “wants”. The message of “starting young and never stopping…” is a good one.

OK…can someone please go buy this so I don’t go look at it…like…seriously.  A century old farmhouse overlooking a lake, with an ABUNDANCE of trees, shrubs and woodlands. Oh…my…word. You HAVE to look at the kitchen…so darn charming! I just love this spot.

  1. Hahah the reindeer article cracked me up! And I’m always trying to teach my very small kids (almost 3 and 1.5) about giving and helping others but at this age it’s tough to make it stick, even at this time of year. All my older daughter wants for Christmas is Peppa Pig stickers, haha. And the younger one has no opinion. Good for you for teaching your daughter. I truly believe that empathy is one of the most important things we can teach our children, and if we all do it, we will make the world a better place <3

  2. Thank you Jennifer for your post! Every week I read it and I am amazed at the jobs that you “find” and post-so good to see all those interesting opportunities in our community! I always enjoy your stories as well 🙂 If I don’t see you over the holidays, Merry Christmas to you, Troy, Hannah, Noah and Grace!
