Sunday Morning Coffee

Sunday mornings I usually take time to catch up on stories I may not have time to read through the week. I thought I would share some that caught my eye this week, that you might enjoy with your Sunday Morning Coffee as well.

LighthouseNow: Touchdown: How football helped one woman recover her life.

This is an incredible story. It made me teary reading her obvious dedication to her children and family in regaining her health after an injury, and now she also plays tackle football in a women’s league. So inspiring! I really want to meet Sam and have a coffee…is that weird/stalker-like? 😉

When her son Christian, now 16, expressed interest in signing up for the South Shore Seahawks Bantam football team three years ago, Dickens was barely able to move around the house. After the accident, she would crawl down the stairs in the morning to see her three children – Michaela, Christian and Mackenzie – off to school, and then make her way back to bed to sleep the day away, setting the alarm for when they would return.

15 books for new routines and fresh starts. – Modern Mrs. Darcy

I’ve followed Modern Mrs.Darcy’s blog for a few years now and always enjoy her posts. This is actually her post from last year, but I still have that “new year” feeling and wanted to check it out. Have you read any from her list?

Whether or not you’re a student, or the parent of one, September is a time for new routines and fresh starts. (I love that some people even call it “the new January.”

OK…I can’t decide what I love more about this house…the beautiful home office on the lower level…or the AMAZING screened in lanai/screen room! Parkland, views of the Lahave, only 10-15 minutes from Bridgewater…you really do need to look at the pics of this one…trust me. 🙂

This is a property that truly must be seen to be appreciated. There are two parcels included. The house is on one and the garage/shop is on the other for a combined size of over 2 acres. Parkland is on one side and behind giving you the utmost in privacy. The house is immaculate with a large kitchen and living room on the front where you can enjoy views of the Lahave River. The master bedroom is huge and leads out to a screened in lanai. Downstairs is fully finished with a fabulous rec room and wet bar which is ideal for entertaining. Also on the lower level is a room that would make an ideal craft room or office. Add to all this is another patio off the kitchen which also enjoys views of the river. The double garage is currently used as a successful consignment shop but could easily just be used for car storage and a workshop. The house is really a pleasure to show and I know that you will be pleasantly surprised with all it has to offer.
