Sunday Morning Coffee

Sunday mornings I usually grab a coffee and take time to catch up on stories I may not have time to read through the week. I thought I would share some that caught my eye this week, that you might enjoy with your Sunday Morning Coffee as well.

Want to be happier? Hire a housekeeper, researchers suggest – Health – CBC News

OK…I saw several people start sharing this story last week, and I purposely didn’t read it at first. Hiring a housekeeper has been on my “wish list” forever. Reading this article really made me think. I am very practical but I can only imagine how much happier I would feel without the constant worry of cleaning the house. I honestly think I would have people over more, feel more relaxed and enjoy my home more. BUT…there’s this little guilt thing and I’m not sure my husband could ever get comfortable with it. Tell me I’m not alone in this? Anyway, this article has me thinking on it again…pretty strongly. 😉

For people who wish there were more hours in the day, spending a bit of money to get rid of onerous tasks would make them much happier, but researchers say very few actually make the investment.

This is so encouraging and inspiring! Also nice to see a positive story from the media with the word “millenials” in it. Let’s make sure we are supporting these young farmers especially during their beginning years. Love, love, love this. 🙂

Farming is a growing concern on the South Shore thanks to down-to-earth, social-media savvy millennials, who are turning their backs on other options and looking to agriculture as a way of life. While demographers and economists have expressed concern about Nova Scotia’s aging population, there’s growing optimism about the number of young people in the province moving into the agricultural industry.

Speaking of farms…you have to check this out. This has everything any budding farmer would possibly want. Sit on the beautiful front porch with your coffee in the morning after checking on the garden and animals. The possibilities are really endless, and you’re only 15 minutes from town! I’ve seen houses in town…not on water or with any land…go for this price. Wow!

Lifestyle farmers take note of this 10.71 acre hobby farm for a better rural family life with lots of fresh air, surrounded by open spaces & neighbouring haskap orchards. Plant your own gardens & have land left over for free-range chickens, grazing horses or a small flock of sheep.
