Sunday Morning Coffee

Sunday mornings I usually grab a cup of coffee and take time to catch up on stories I may not have time to read through the week. I thought I would share some that caught my eye this week, that you might enjoy with your Sunday Morning Coffee as well.

LighthouseNow: Left for dead – until the students stepped in and saved his life

OK…I’m not crazy about the wording of this headline…BUT…that’s not the point, the point is how 3 teenage girls on their lunch break, saw a man lying face down in the park and rushed to his side, eventually calling 911 and performing CPR until help came. Amazing and brave of these girls to stop and jump into action when others simply drove by.

Teenagers all around us do some pretty great stuff every day, although we don’t tend to hear those stories as much. Sometimes, they are even saving a man’s life on their lunch break. Way to go Kathryn, Eva and Megan!

Forty-five-year-old Paul Raymond’s wife, Rosemary, and his teenaged sons Adrian and Josh recently met with Eisner and her classmates Eva Mosher and Megan Rogers to thank them for saving the Weymouth man’s life following a cardiac arrest. “If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t be here with my two boys,” he said, choking back tears and mentioning his oldest son’s upcoming high school graduation.

How I turned my side-hustle into a full time job – Curtains are Open

Colleen, who wrote this post, I consider a friend and mentor and someone I have turned to for advise many times as a blogger….in fact I think I owe her a promised cooked dinner? 😉 She’s super inspiring, and I really loved this story, as it highlights how sometimes there are things you could be doing…or are doing…to make yourself a little income on the side. Or, as in Colleen’s example, it could turn into a full time job, before you even know it. 🙂

IT TOOK A YEAR OF PEOPLE ASKING ME TO MAKE THESE THINGS FOR THEM BEFORE I CLUED IN THAT I REALLY COULD DO SOMETHING MORE!!!

You Could Live Here!

41 Phoenix Street, Bridgewater

If you need me today…I’ll be thinking about what it would be like to live in the pretty yellow house, with the beautiful porch while I walk to run errands or visit the Farmers Market on Saturday. This house is so charming…right in town…and I am stunned by the price of it. It looks like a house straight out of a Hallmark movie! 😉 You have to check this one out…

Absolutely stunning! This is the only way to describe this century home in the heart of Bridgewater. The house has so much character from the wide baseboards to the high ceilings. The updated kitchen is a dream to work in with a casual eating area and the back staircase and doors leading out to the BBQ deck. Main floor also has a formal dining room and living room with an additional space for a family room with powder room. Upstairs are three very good size bedrooms and a great laundry room and another updated bathroom. The bonus is the finished attic space which could be the third bedroom, childrens playroom or yoga studio. The options are plentiful! The basement provides additional storage and has an inside Roth oil tank. Outside are two covered verandas leading to the back yard and the storage shed. The property is easy to maintain and is within walking distance of all the downtown amenities. Come take a closer look!!
