Sunday Morning Coffee

Sunday mornings I usually grab a cup of coffee and take time to catch up on stories I may not have time to read through the week. I thought I would share some that caught my eye this week, that you might enjoy with your Sunday Morning Coffee as well.

LighthouseNow: Port Medway log roller heading to international lumberjack championship

Ella Stevens, sings, dances, acts, snowboards, does track and field and in her spare time…she’s practicing for an International Log Rolling competition! I love the practice pool her father made her out of unused lobster traps…how South Shore is that! 😉 I hear there’s a new Wonder Woman movie out…I’m nominating Ella Stevens to star in the next one. Go Ella!

JOHN DeMONT: Summertime and the (warm weather) living is easy – Local Xpress

This little piece captures perfectly what we all feel when after a long winter and a cool spring, we finally start to see the sun and some warmer temperatures. I love it.

Ariane Seguin and Matthew Wadden practise their acroyoga moves on a lazy Saturday afternoon at Sullivans Pond in Dartmouth. Acroyoga is a combination of yoga and acrobatics. (TIM KROCHAK / Local Xpress)

The sound of warm weather — summer music — is different than the theme music for other seasons. It’s anything by Bob Marley. It’s the Beach Boys, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, some bittersweet song about lovers on the run by Bruce Springsteen and Sly and the Family Stone cooing “them summer days/those summer days.”

You Could Live Here…

or in Lower Coverdale, New Brunswick! 😉

Wendy and her husband, from Front Porch Mercantile are selling their beautiful family home in Lower Coverdale, New Brunswick, moving to their cottage in Blue Rocks, NS and opening another Front Porch Mercantile right here in Lunenburg. So exciting! I’ve been following along as they struggled with down sizing and getting ready to sell their “forever home” and one look at the photos of this place and you can see why!

As Wendy describes it…”it’s about rocking chairs on big comfy porches, comfort, relaxing and enjoying country living, it’s a lifestyle” house, if you will.” Sounds perfect to me.

Are you eager to live in the country but want to be close to the city? Want a little land, peace and quiet, bonfires, a big sunny and comfy porch? A cozy screen room and outdoor space but don’t want to be in complete isolation? Looking for a family home with lots of space, fully finished basement and toy garage? Looking to be downtown Moncton in less than 10 mins? Maybe you are looking for low taxes? We’ve got what you may be looking for.

Click here to see the beautiful photo’s from this one of a kind family home.

This property is listed with Property Guys.

Thank you for joining me for a Sunday Morning Coffee. Enjoy the day!

As I was enjoying my Sunday morning coffee ( #3 ) I settled down to catch up on your blog. My daughter and I were just discussing yesterday on our mother-daughter day out about how Nova Scotia could do so much more to advertise life outside the city limits, and here you are, doing exactly what we had discussed. I smile when I read some of your news, admire your garden, and find places to visit I would not have known if you hadn’t explored for me. Thanks for reminding us all just how good life can be!
