Sunday Morning Coffee

Sunday mornings I usually take some time to read stories I may not have time for through the week. I plan to share some of my favourite stories here so that you might catch up on them as you enjoy a Sunday Morning Coffee!

Halifax’s Mobile Food Market makes its debut in East Preston – Nova Scotia – CBC News

This is a great concept. If it can focus on local produce at affordable prices, this could be a win/win for those without the ability to travel to our local markets. Loblaws is the food supplier for this project. Looking forward to seeing how this pilot project works out.

The travelling market is the city’s solution to the food scarcity problem of some areas not having grocery stores or ones nearby, a problem often referred to as “food deserts.” “Without that sort of being part of the community fabric, it really does make it difficult for people to find those healthy fruits and vegetables when they need them,” said Dr. Gaynor Watson-Creed, Nova Scotia’s medical officer of health.

Open letter to the parent crying at graduation

OK…yes….this made me cry. I see a lot of these articles now, and it’s like train wreck…I can’t look away…even though I know it could reduce me to tears again. There’s no shame in my game…I’m incredibly proud of the kids, and am so excited to see what the future holds…it just goes so fast.

When my daughter entered her senior year of high school a few years ago, I was a complete train wreck. Seriously: I. Was. Not. OK. I couldn’t fathom how the years had slipped away so quickly and we were already approaching this huge milestone. I desperately wanted time to slow down to delay the inevitable “last time moments.”

You Could Live Here! 312 Camperdown School Rd- Middlewood

I love the lay out and interior of this house! The kitchen…the wood stove…the ensuite! Close to town and the school, but in a quiet, country setting….sounds perfect.

Just 12mins from Bridgewater, conveniently tucked on a quiet country road off the #103, between Bridgewater and Liverpool and in the Hebbville School district! Lots of great features; sunken living room and master bedroom, ensuite bath with soaker tub, wood stove, reverse osmosis water system, full walk in pantry, paved wrap around driveway, wood stove and mature landscaping.
