Old Barn Pottery-Made with Hands, Heart + Rhythm

Inspiration comes to us in many forms. While playing music during a weekly session at a local craft brewery, Vickie Gray noticed that all the musicians glasses were the same and often hard to distinguish from each other. Coupled with a perfect stage of life to finally chase after her entrepreneurial spirit, a dream came to life…and Old Barn Pottery- Made with Hands, Heart + Rhythm…was born!

Going back to her pottery studio roots, Vickie began creating once again, this time from her studio at home. Filling a need she saw for musician themed quality items, and a simple pottery line, Vickie got to work.

Starting with a “things you can drink” theme, wine goblets, beer glasses, shot sippers and more…all started to be produced. Old Barn Pottery does a line of musician themed glasses all stamped with different instrument names…guitar/bagpipes/fiddle… anyone? 😉 However they also make the same glasses unstamped as well for those in your life who just appreciate a beautiful piece of pottery.

You will occasionally find other pieces such as bowls, platters or even a covered butter dish. What a lovely way to add to your pieces and perhaps begin a collection of your own. 🙂

You can watch our Facebook Live video where Vickie and I chat all about how she got Old Barn Pottery started and showed us several pieces…

Old Barn Pottery is available at Buchanan’s House of Music in Mahone Bay and their new website just launched this week with online ordering available.

We are excited to have Old Barn Pottery included in the Simple Local Life 2017 Holiday Gift Guide…coming out later this week! 🙂
